Lock 29 Tavern was opened in 1992, by the Graham family, fittingly named after the Palmyra canal lock which is only a short distance from its location. Palmyra has a rich canal history, speckled with tales and lore of the traditional brewery's and watering holes of the time when the Erie canal was a vast waterway of transport for goods through New York State . What does all of this have to do with Lock 29 Tavern? Nothing. The Lock, or as the local's like to refer to it as the"L29", is a great place to eat, drink cold beer, and have a great time. The L29 has a great bunch of customers and great bartenders that love to have a really good time. On Friday's its Karaoke night. The Lock also has Live bands and special events regularly. We feature NASCAR, and NFL Football when they are in season. Oh, yeah, don't forget the Yankees or Tiger when he's playing at the Open. The Lock has some history, that's because they do it right! Lock Kitchen is right in front of ya so you can see your succulent burger prepared right before your eyes. Wings, yeah we do them, the best in the land! Our food is only one reason to stop by. So if you are in the neighborhood drop in for a friendly face, an ice cold beer, and a great time.
Plenty of parking in front and rear.
